The Tableau Series draws from the French term tableau vivant, composed scenes held in stillness, while employing the word’s English root, “table,” as a grounding surface. Each painting in this series centers the table as a stage where objects and ritual are arranged into scenes that feel paused, intentional, and intimate. The titles operate as spatial and temporal markers, placing the viewer before, within, and after a staged moment.
